“It seems to have it all – fight scenes, star-crossed lovers, witty one-liners… a brilliant production of an excellent play.”
Francesca Wade, Cherwell
“In Troy there lies the scene…”
During a deadlocked war between two superpowers, Troilus and Cressida struggle to come to terms with their relationship in the besieged city of Troy. Meanwhile in the Greek camp, mutiny and dissent are spreading through the ranks, as Achilles refuses to fight and Ulysses schemes. When Cressida is sent to the Greek camp as a prisoner, a troubled love story is brutally cut short and subsumed by the grim reality of war.
Barbarian Productions explores one of Shakespeare’s most explosive works in this bold new production of his rarest performed and most enigmatic play.
